About 2 weeks ago, We learnt a dance to uptown funk and we also learnt a jive dance, it was really fun. Uptown funk was a hip-hop routine and the jive was a jive. For the jive we had to dance with a boy. We were practising for a big performance.I thought it was really fun and I wish we did it every term.

I showed Resilients because even though some of the steps were hard I keeped trying and in the end I just did it and I think I did it really well.I also showed Respect because I did not laugh if someone did it wrong or did not do it write.

Today me, jade,Candice and Daniel did peer mediation. We told Candice she could not come but she still did.  First we went to the junior playground but there were no problems. So we went onto the Field were most problems are there was a girl that was saying they won´t play with her so we said that maybe we could find one of her other friends for her to play with. So we walked back on the courts and she said "oh look there is my friend" so she went and played with her.

I showed Trust worthy because I will tell Mrs Stinson about Candice tagging along when she was not suppose to. I showed Excellence by helping people in the playground.

Today I had Peer Mediation with Jade. There were some kids playing around the back near the vege patches. Me and Jade went to talk to them about how its out of bounds. They did not know they could play there. We told them they could not play around there. So they went and played on the courts.

 I showed leadership by being Resilient because I didn't give up while helping people.I showed Excellence by turning up even though I wanted to stay at the library with Johanna and Dabok.

I can make links across texts by recognizing connectives or adverbial clauses

In this unit learnt different ways to combined sentences and Make them more better.

A connective is a word that joins 2 sentences together.

An adverbial clause is something that gives us the time,place or action.

On Friday my class (Mrs Stinsons) do gardening and cooking. I did gardening this week with Tanika if we are not doing cooking we pair up with someone else to do it with. We also get paired up with 2 little kids each but we all work together. This week we planted cabbage seedlings with James, Alec, Annabelle and Lilly. I showed leadership by showing them how to plant the seedling first so I didn't have to teach them individually. We also took them to see the compost bin and told them some facts and what you should and shouldn't put in the compost bin. I also told them some facts about worms.

After we had finished the planting it was time to go and see the food the cooks had made the made fejoa ice cream and rhubarb topping that we had with the ice cream It was Delicious!

I showed Respect because I respected that they were not the best at planting, I also enguraged them and said they did a good job.

On Tuesday, I do Peer Mediation with Jade and Daniel. We walked onto the field (after looking on the courts and playgrounds to) to see if there were any problems. 2 boys came running up to us and said that 2 other boys keeped on wanting to play with them, but they did not wan´t them to. So we asked them what could they do? and 1 of the boys said we could apologise, but some of them did not agree
so I said that maybe the could play with each other just for today and they agreed.

I showed Respect because I respected and did not force them to say sorry I let them do what they wanted to do to fix it.

On Friday me,Brook,Franz,Nicholas and Tanika went to a peer mediators big day out. We went to lemongrove school we meet many other schools. We also did a presentation on how we do peer mediation at Oakland's,what we do and how we report it. We played a few games on of the games was we got a post it note on our back that said something like a type of car,fruit and takeaways and many others,we did not know what we were. We had to sort our self's in groups with out talking It was hard.

I showed community because I was talking with other schools and other people.
