Voting for National         

Do you like the idea of voting for National?  Then you are in the right place! I have written this piece of writing about their policies.  I like Nationals policies, yet I like that Labour has a new leader and has a fresh start.

I am going to talk about Building a new hospital in Dunedin and Work towards New Zealand being smokefree by 2025. These are the policies that I most care about. For instance health is one of the most important things because you need to be healthy to live.

Work towards NZ being smokefree by 2025

This means that people don't smoke so less people will get sick. I believe that this is a good policy because less people will get sick, it will also be good for the environment because we will have less smoke. Also, it will help the public because they won't be breathing in smoke.  Having less smoke means healthier people and less people in hospital.

Build a new hospital in dunedin

They will build a new hospital in dunedin for people to use.This is a good policy because Dunedin only has two hospitals.This also means that more people will be more healthy since there will be more hospitals. And also more hospitals to go to so they can more people getting better at once.But amongst some of the policies were some that I think are bad.

Build at least 1,000 state houses every year

I think this is a horrible idea because New Zealand  would get so crowded.  There will be less room for farms and animals. There will be less room for farms and animals.

I feel that this will also be bad because more people from overseas will by them and there will be less room for us kiwis.I am not going to drag this out any longer otherwise this will get so boring.

I really hope you have enjoyed this writing. I really like nationals policies because they will help NZ in the future.In this piece of writing I have talked about how dunedin should have another hospital and how New Zealand should be smokefree by 2025 and other things.Another reason I think you should vote for the National party because they have some great ideas that will help us (New Zealand) a lot.

Koru Games Reflection

In the Koru Games the sport I competed in was Netball

Our team won 6 out of ten games.

I found the experience to be amazing because it is so cool to be able to be able to compete with so many different schools.

In terms of working with Individuals and Groups; my solo level is extended abstract because I can say how well I did and the team.

For Teamwork; my solo level is relational because I can work well with lots of people.

Individuals and groups	I need help to work in a group (with teachers or other students	I can work in a group with my friends. Peer mediation distinction blog #4

Today I had Peer Mediation but I could not do it because no one would do it with me and nobody turned up. Also you have to do it with someone else.

I showed resilience because I asked lots of people and my friends but they refused. I also showed excellence because I still turned up.

Peer Mediation blog #3 distinction

Today I had Peer Mediation. I walked on to the field and a girl came up to me and said that somebody made her cry and she showed me who it was. We found her and I said first of all you are not allowed to were dangle earrings and she said That is not apart of the problem and I said I don´t care so we sorted it out and they ended up saying sorry to each other.

I showed excellence because I showed up when I was having fun in the library. I also showed active thinking because I do not know who did what wrong so they just said say sorry to everybody.

Peer Mediation blog #2 distinction

Today I had to do peer Mediation but I had a netball game so I showed leadership because I asked someone else to do it for me. So I did not miss out on my netball game.

I showed Respect because I did not just leave 1 person to do it. I also showed Active Thinking because I did what is more important.

Peer Mediation blog #1 distinction

Today I had Peer Mediation at the 2nd half of lunch. With Daniel T. We walked around looking for problems. There were not many problems. We wen´t to the hall to see how jump jam was going. It was horrible kids were running every were in the end I just had to say in the microphone ¨if you are not doing jump jam get out¨.

I showed Excellence because I just said to the kids  ¨if you are not doing jump jam get out¨. I also showed community because I looked around to help others.

Leadership blog #2 distinction

Today I had drama in the hall after lunch. We are learning about silent movies. Me and Tanika worked together on a silent performance. It was called the chase. It was about Tanika steeling my headband and we chase each other until we crash and make up. We had to perform it in front of the class it was soooo nerve racking.

I showed resilience because I was really nervous but I did it and enjoyed it. I also showed excellence because I kept on practising until I got it right. 

Leadership blog #1 distinction

Today I played in a netball tournament in Hagley Park. We won all our games and our score for every game was over ten! They were ten minute games and we swapped sides after 5 minutes I played centre. All of us had turns at being on court. It was so fun I did two great intercepts in a row. I was so proud of myself and the team. I think we make an amazing team.

I showed resilience because I was getting a bit puffed but I kept on going. I also showed Community because I said to the team after every game well done and we did awesome.

Today I had drama with Mr Muller. We are learning about silent movies and the characteristics of them they are make up,projector speed, overacting and more. Me and Tanika are working together on a performance called the chase were I fall asleep and she steels my headband and runs away with it and I wake up and chase her around and around until she hides and yea I´m not going to go through it all because that will take ages.

I showed resilience because it was hard to not talk. I also showed Active thinking because I tried to make our movie more interesting than the others.

Excellance homework challenge #5

Today I made some sushi for my family. First, I made a list of what we needed. Secondly, my mum took me to the supermarket were I got what I needed. When I got home, I cut up the chicken then I marinated it. My dad had to help me a bit though with cooking it. Okay so I am not going to make it any longer here is a picture of the finished product I forgot to take a picture halve way through because it was so good.

I showed Excellence because I asked my dad to help when I was not sure what to do. I also showed resilience because it was a bit hard at some points but I did it.

Excellance homework challenge #4

Offer to help around home 10 times with out being asked.

I helped fold up papers twice for a paper round for my friends while we were staying at their house.

I looked after my Nana's puppy Millie when they went on holiday.

I emptied the dish washer twice when we where in Dunedin staying with friends.

I dried the dishes after mum had made cheese scones.

I also helped do my brothers paper round when it was raining so he could get it done faster.

I cleaned both toilets to help mum in the holidays when she had lots of work to do.

I also helped clean my friends room when I went for a sleepover.

Lastly I cleaned my bathroom including the bath, mirror and sink without being asked to surprise my mum.

I showed respect by helping other people with their jobs. I also showed motivation because I showed my friends it can be fun to clean.

Term 2 Book Review

My Life as an Alphabet

by Barry Jonsburg

This is a book about Candice Phee, she is 12 but she has her birthday in the book and

 turns 13. Candice likes reading, writing notes and she loves the library. Everybody thinks she is weird and she doesn't have any friends but she thinks everybody is her friend. Until Douglas Benson from another dimension comes along. 

She has to do an interview with the most popular girl in the school but does she fail?  

Her family is having quite a few problems so she attempts to make her family a better family but does it work?

I recommend this book to people who like diary style books...and the alphabet.

Today I did peer Mediation with Daniel T. We did not have much problems but we kept on looking but there was none but I showed resilience because I did not just say oh there´s no problems lets just play on the playground. I also showed Excellence for trying to help other people.

Excellance homework challenge #3

Create a present for someone using an I.T tool.

I created a video for Tanika about our friendship and the great times we have had together. I went through my mums phone of photos and I found heaps so I chose my favourites and used video studio. It was fun to see how much fun we have had together.

 I showed integrity because I only chose the photos were we both were smiling and happy. I did not use photos were we don't look our best. I also showed community because I did not put any strangers faces in it.

Excellance homework challenge #2

I love changing my room around so we did the homework challenge were you have to change you room so I moved my bed to the wall and moved my duchess. First I put everything were it needed to be and then I changed my sheets. Lastly we moved my bed around. Sorry we don't have any pictures they did not come through properly.

I showed Excellence because I did not stop and then clean, stop and then clean I did it all at once. I also showed integrity because I cleaned everything instead of just one little corner.

On Thursday the year 7/8 hub go to tech which is at Lincoln primary. This term I'm doing Science. Today we went outside and did the mentos and diet coke experiment we put 7 metoses to 2 liters of diet coke I have to say it went about 5 meters in the air I was totally not expecting it. We did use this thing that is like a tube and it drops the mentos in all at the same time and it also has a hole at the top so it comes out. We looked at what causes this reaction  

the causes the mentos to open up and fizz and that's what causes the reaction.

I showed Community because I did not step in the coke after ward and get it in the classroom. I also showed Excellence because I listened in Science. so then I would gather info about it.

Today was open day at school , this means we have visitors come in and see our learning. The Choir,Band, Dance Group and Kapa Haka were asked to perform for our visitors. We were asked to arrive in room 6 to have a warm up and a practise at 1:15 pm. I made sure that I arrived at room 6 on time. We  sang three songs Blue Skies, Africa and Purea Nei. I was really proud of myself because I did not have to look at the words many times.  

I showed Excellence because I sang my loudest but nicest. I also showed Active thinking because I kept an eye on the time so I arrived to practice on time.
